Fun Way to Practicing Late Game Situations

Objective: Practice late-game situations daily in practice for the biggest moments. Also, practice late shot clock possession moment. Probably even more important.

**Keys: **

• Play according to the same principles you practice daily.

• Only very the shot selection allowed based on time and score.

• Attack in transition always whether you are up or down.

• Use a time-out only to establish an advantage (if none exists).

**CARD GAME: **

• Use a deck of playing cards

• Split the deck into four piles (A-4, 5-8, 9-10, and Face cards);

• Score: = A-4 determines how many points a team is up by. (dark vs. light team)

• Time: 5 = 5 seconds, 6 = 60 seconds, 7 = 17 seconds, 8, = 80 seconds, (1 min. and 20 seconds).

• Bonus: 9 =1 foul to give, 10 = bonus (each team draws). Possession start:  J = jump ball at center, Queen = full court, King = under own hoop/basket)

• Card colour: (Black = dark team / Red = light team)
