Which team member does these 3 things EVERY day?

Can you name the one person on your team who does these three simple things EVERY single day?

1) Has a great attitude.

2) Gives their very best effort.

3) Treats people really well.

Regardless of circumstances.

This is the mentally toughest person on your team.

A player, a team, a coach, and/or a program are raising the bar, (not lowering it) by adding these three tenants of Mental Toughness. They are challenging for sure, but 100% controllable.

You don't need to sacrifice results, rather focus on what you actually have control over. Let go of goals, (and outcome-based thinking) and focus on commitments, controllable and true mental toughness.

There is a lot more accountability here (and that's what makes this tough) because, unlike outcomes, commitments are 100% inside our control.

The beauty of sports is that the boundaries of winning and losing are predetermined. They have already been defined for us. We don't need to spend a lot of time trying to figure them out or focusing on them. We can focus all our energy on things within our grasp and our control.
