Wolf Pack Basketball

Objectives
To develop committed players in a positive, player-centred environment as they step up into competitive, full-court basketball.

Program focus
At this stage, players are managing real transitions: from mini to full basketball, from elementary to high school, and through the physical and mental changes of these years. We keep enjoyment at the core while raising the challenge, introducing personal targets and 5v5 play built on strong small-sided foundations. Person before player.

Personal Values
Commitment, Teamwork, Empathy, Respect, Communication, Generosity, Adaptability, Dedication, and Patience.

Phase of Play Teaching

  1. Transition Offence: exploit numerical advantages (3v2, 4v3) and transition into half-court offence.

  2. Offence: ball circulation (pass and cut, pass and stay, ball reversal), extending the advantage, and shot selection.

  3. Transition Defence: slow and stop ball progression, and defend numerical disadvantages.

  4. Defence: help and rotate, close out, help the helper, protect the basket, and start taking charges.
